Print Formats

Print formats define the basic dimensions (width and height) of your document templates.

This setting determines the size of your output and serves as the foundation for all other template elements.

Your chosen format affects how your facility data will be presented, ensuring that drawings and information are displayed at the correct size and scale.

FM ACCESS supports two categories of print formats:

  • System Formats: Pre-configured paper sizes that follow ISO and ANSI standards, ensuring compatibility with common printing requirements.

  • Custom Formats: Additional formats that administrators can create to meet specific project needs.

Each format appears as a separate row in the formats list, allowing for easy selection based on your documentation requirements.

Administrators can streamline the format selection by using the "Available" setting to show only relevant formats.

For example, in an office using European standards, you might want to display only A-series formats (A4, A3, A1, A0) rather than showing all possible options including US Letter or other rarely used sizes.

This helps users quickly find and select the appropriate format for their needs.
