Print Template Sets
Print Template Sets provide administrators with a structured way to manage and distribute printing templates across the organization. This feature ensures users have access to appropriate templates for their specific needs while maintaining document consistency.
Managing Template Sets
Through the Print Template Set Manager, administrators can:
Create and name custom template sets
Assign specific print templates from the available template library
Designate a default template for each set
Control template access by assigning sets to specific users or groups
Template Availability
Template availability is directly linked to their associated print format status
Templates using unavailable print formats become inactive and cannot be used for printing
The "Available" column provides a quick overview of template status
Best Practices
Templates sets help standardize printing across teams while ensuring users only see relevant templates for their work.
By carefully organizing templates into sets, administrators can streamline the printing process and maintain consistent documentation standards.
Avoid assigning users to multiple template sets, either directly or through group membership. When a user has access to more than one template set, or when a set lacks a designated default template, the system will select a default template randomly.
Changes made to templates or template sets take effect only after users log out and log back into FM ACCESS. Users who are currently working in the system will continue to see and use the previous template settings until their next login.
