Global Layers

System wide Layers available for each Vector Drawing inside any Composite Document.


Global layers can only be managed in administration panel. They cannot be edited in Composite Drawing Manager even by administrators.


Allows to: 

  • Create new global layer,

  • Edit global layer (name and toolset used),

  • Delete global layer,

  • Change permissions to global layer,

  • Set default Visibility state,

  • Set default Active state,

  • Set Index value.

Visibility status

Decides if spots on layer are Visible or Hidden.
If layer is by default hidden than objects on this layer will not be shown on viewer.

Layer visibility can be temporary changed on Drawing & Layers toolbar but permanent change to layer visibility can be done only from Global Layer Manager.

Active status

Decides if spots on layer are Active or Inactive.
Spots on inactive layer are visible but are not interactive (cannot be edited).

Active status can be temporary changed on Drawing & Layers toolbar but permanent change can be done only from Global Layer Manager.

Index value

Index value will decide about order of showing spots on a drawing when multiply spots from different layers are placed in the same area.
It can take value of any natural number.

If index is changed, all layers will move to new index value. 

Local layers and Redline layers also have Index value - it can be controlled from Composite Drawing Manager.
