Drawings and Layers

Drawings and Layers

HDC uses these basic types of drawings:

  • composite drawing (container, gathering all other types)

  • raster drawing

  • vector drawing

  • map drawing

Composite drawing

Composite drawing enables the collection of raster, map, or vector documents into a single composite document. This allows for the selection of individual drawings within the composite document, enabling changes to their parameters, positioning in common world coordinates, and their visible areas (viewports).

Layers

  • Global LayersSystem wide Layers available for each Vector Drawing inside any Composite Document.
  • Local Layers
  • Layer Security
  • Redline layersEach user has it's own redline layer - created automatically by the system. Redline layer and tools can be used for drawing annotations.
