FM ACCESS Users Manual
HDC is an object and drawing management system used in Facilities Management and other areas. In many aspects it resambles an indoor GIS system with support for flexible object linking, visual presentations and world versioning system that provides audit trail and access to historical data.
It is an extremely flexible platform that can combine data from multiple, virtually incompatible sources. To name a few, HDC integrates data from BIM, scanned drawings, FM systems via Fi2 or IFC standards, Excel, CAD Files, GIS & Map systems. All of this data is easily accessible via single web application that provides desktop like performance and productivity.
Flexible nature of HDC makes it a “Swiss army knife” capable of managing floor plans, apartments, spaces, equipment but also objects outside building, like tree inventory or parking spaces.
HDC manages geometrical and geospatial data thus being capable of providing information about area or distance. HDC can follow evolving customer needs by supporting easy reconfiguration.
To use HDC you only need a modern web browser with connection to the Internet. No other third party tools or plugins are required!

General System Settings
Users serving different roles within the organization may have diverse user interface requirements, influenced by both functionality and access rights. The layout assigned to a user plays a crucial role in determining the shape of the user interface, specifying which Tesslets and Perspective Sets are accessible.

- Object Set — Object Sets allow you to create groups of objects that belong together for any reason. The type or perspective of the objects doesn't matter.
- Dictionaries
- Hyperlinks in object properties
- Object Classes — Object Classes
- Perspective sets — Perspectives set is a core concept of HDC data display. It defines how a number of linked objects are presented to the user. The presentation can be dynamically changed, depending on user needs or context.
- Creating new perspective set — Short guide on: How to create new perspective set.
- Using Perspective Sets
- Presentations — Presentations are a group of filters that can be applied to an Object. They are based on the link between the Object Overlay vector entity and the Object.
- Predefined Filters — Predefined filters are established by an administrator and then shared with specific users or groups.
- Graphic Tools — Graphic tools are named sets of fill/line color styles used by Presentation Filters.
- Hover color for spots
- Tools Mapping — Tools mapping allow to map specific dictionary value or object class to predefined tool (pattern&color) so it's always used on presentations.

Icons
Icons are to be used in many situations, but mainly they can be added to Print Templates.
Drawings and Layers
HDC uses these basic types of drawings:
- Composite drawing — Composite drawing enables the collection of raster, map, or vector documents into a single composite document. This allows for the selection of individual drawings within the composite document, enabling changes to their parameters, positioning in common world coordinates, and their visible areas (viewports).
- Layers
- Global Layers — System wide Layers available for each Vector Drawing inside any Composite Document.
- Local Layers
- Layer Security
- Redline layers — Each user has it's own redline layer - created automatically by the system. Redline layer and tools can be used for drawing annotations.
- External Content - URL Template
- Working with Object Selection
- Working with Void areas (cut outs)
- External documents — HDC can display external files like MS Office documents in viewer. If you add one as attachment to object then HDC will convert it's content and display it in special PDF viewer.
- Move and Scale/Align background drawing
- Notes with text and images
- Convert Attachment to Drawings
- Quick measure tools
- Spot and Object Area Report
- Drawing Guides
- Object "spot links" - best practices
- GUIDE: working with Viewer Edit toolbar
- Guide: Adding object overlay with SuperEdit (Overlay Import)
- Guide: Working with Popup Properties on Drawing — Popup properties are small windows with object properties that appear when a mouse is hovered over drawing elements.
- Guide: Creating Object Overlay on Drawings — This guide will show how to draw various entities that create Object Overlay on top of raster drawings.
- Guide: Manual import of raster drawing — This guide will show you how to add new raster drawing to HDC manually by user interface.
- Using Verify Spots to fix drawing

Search
- Advanced Object & Document Search
- Flex Search — Classic navigation is based on objects and documents. Navigating to a specific building reveals floors, floors reveal spaces etc. We can also see documents connected to each of the objects like floor plans.
- HyperDoc Query Language (HQL)
- Quick Search
- Document Content Search
Printing
- How to Print
- Quick Print — Quick Print offers the fastest way to generate PDF documents of your current view with a single click.
- Print Preview Mode — Print Preview allows you to customize your printout and review the final layout before generating the document. This feature provides more control over the output compared to Quick Print.
- Batch Print — Batch print uses quick print logic but for multiple documents.
- Smart Print
- Print Administration — Administration panels allows to manage print templates - from creation and editing to assigning them to users and groups.
- Print Formats — Print formats define the basic dimensions (width and height) of your document templates.
- Template Editor — Print Template Editor allows for creating and editing of templates used for printing.
- Print Template Sets — Print Template Sets provide administrators with a structured way to manage and distribute printing templates across the organization. This feature ensures users have access to appropriate templates for their specific needs while maintaining document consistency.
- Legend Print Templates
Security
- Users
- Groups
- Security Schemes — Security Schemes restricts access to Objects and it's Content. Each Security Scheme can be set as a Default Security Scheme or Type Security Scheme.
- Field Level Security (FLS) — Administrator can control access to specific Metadata Fields inside of an Object, based on User or Role.

Maps in HDC
GIS and WMS intergration with HyperDoc
- Working with Map Data Source — HyperDoc can communicate with WMTS enabled GIS web server to automatically retrieve configuration via so called Get Capabilities service.
Version Management
- Archive Manager
- Draft Auto Publish
- Versions changes visualization
- Object Versioning in Depth — HyperDoc offers versioning for all objects, including documents, links, and properties. Each object belongs to a specific named version that is accessible to authorized users. HyperDoc allows the creation of alternative versions (Drafts) for different purposes such as planning. The version in HyperDoc represents an entire "world" view rather than a single object or document.
Data Exchange & Integrations
HDC can be easily integrated with other systems thanks to full coverage of standard REST Web Services.
- Export
- Internal Information Domains — Contains internal HDC list of Object Classes and their fields that can be used in TDXM External Domain mappings.
- External Information Domains — External Information Domains are used to define Object classes, Object Mapping, Layer Mapping and Object Identity rules used by specific external system.
- Object Classes tab
- Object Mapping tab
- Layer Mapping tab
- Object Identity (TOBIS) tab
- Live Data Source — EID with Live Data Source enabled means that HDC is configured to receive and send data directly to selected external system.
- Fi2 Mappings
- HDC Remote Agent — HDC Remote agent is a small application that can be used by system integrators to easily import data packages to HDC without exploring details of our API. It can be also seen as a guide on how to use those services. It supports upload of large files in chunks with resume capability.
