Presentations

Presentations are a group of filters that can be applied to an Object. They are based on the link between the Object Overlay vector entity and the Object.

Generally, presentations can be divided into Dynamic Presentations (created ad hoc) and Saved Presentations defined by administrators.

Using Presentations

To use a presentation, the user needs to display the drawing in HDC viewer. On the Document Toolbar, click on the Filters button. This action will prompt the Filter window to display on the right side.

From dropdown choose desired presentation to apply to drawing.

Presentation panel will show a summary of the applied presentation. Each row represents a single filter with 4 columns:

  • Tool: fill color used, not sorted.

  • Label: label of each applied filter, sorted alphabetically.

  • Area (or custom column): sorted numerically.

  • Count: sorted numerically.

onYou can click each filter (like Area 10 -20) on the side menu to see spots only of the selected type.

Filters that exclusively handle objects linked to the selected object in the tree are now equipped with a new option, "Only for selected object," which has been added to the Presentation panel. This option serves to narrow down filter results to objects linked to the selected Tree object (e.g., Floor).

This can be helpful for databases in which the same document is linked to multiple objects (for example, Floors). When we have a simple presentation called "Room Area" that colors all rooms on a drawing and shows their area, we would receive a list of all rooms from all floors where our drawing is linked to and not the currently selected floor. By utilizing the new option "Only for selected object" on the Presentation panel, the presented list will be narrowed down to rooms connected only to the currently selected Floor object in Tree navigation.

Setting Presentation and Dynamic Label as Default

Two user options have been added to the User Profile.

Enable Default Presentation
When enabled, the selected presentation from the "Default Presentation" dropdown list will automatically be applied to each loaded drawing in the viewer, mirroring a manual selection after drawing load.

Enable Default Labeling
When activated, the chosen dynamic label from the "Default Labeling" dropdown list will be automatically applied to each loaded drawing in the viewer, just as if it had been manually chosen after loading.

If a user changes the presentation or label on a drawing, their new choice will become the default for that user during their current session.

Improved Handling of Presentation Spots Visibility

A new user parameter, Default Presentation Layer, has been added to enhance the visibility of used presentations.

New parameters do not influence presentations with a selected specific layer in their configuration. Such presentations will always have active spots from the presentation layer regardless of their visibility state.

In the case of presentations without a specified layer, the new parameter will allow specifying the preferred layer for spot selection when the presentation is activated.

It's quite common for, say, three spots on different layers to be linked to the same room. Previously, when a presentation was activated, a random spot was selected. With Default Presentation Layer defined, spots from this layer are preferred.
