Export
This functionality creates a package containing selected portion of your database.
Package includes XML files describing structure of exported objects and may contain drawings, geometries, and attachments.
Exporting data requires Data Exchange Manger role.
How to perform an export?
From Tree context menu
Click on selected object on Tree, and select Export option.
Select HDC Internal domain or any of public External Domains which will define objects class/fields name in exported package.
After clicking on button and selecting export Domain you will see Export window.
Description - custom name for export. This name will be displayed on export log in TDXM.
Primary Perspective - perspective to select base structure for export objects (like hierarchy Tree).
Secondary Perspective - for each object exported look for linked objects based on secondary perspective (documents for instance).
Export output format - decide what format should have exported package.
HDC Internal option produces HDC internal format used for Importing to other HDC database.
FI2 v. 1.22 - produces package of data that is compatible with Fi2 standard in version 1.22. See below for more info about FI2 export.
Include subtree - decide if subtree objects of selected one should be exported as well (in chosen perspective).
Export documents - if checked corresponding objects in default GRID perspective will be exported as well.
Export geometries - decide if spots should included in export package.
Export attachments - decide if external files should be included in export package.
From Object set
You can add selected objects from Grid to Object set and then Export selected ones.
Using this method allows to select a single or more documents from Grid perspective and get metadata, drawing and spots in svg format.
When only documents are exported from here Primary and Secondary Perspective options in Export dialog is not important. It can be left with default choices.
Note that export of documents from grid can be done only to HDC Internal format!
More information on export format can be found in HDC Internal Export Format
TDXM Export log & download
Go to TDXM and click on Export panel.
Each row is single export. View is similar to import log but it's a bit simpler.
Select checkbox with your export after it's done and then click on Download button to download ZIP package with exported data.
Packages can be deleted without fear after downloading as you can always perform export again in case it's needed.
If an export has status Finished with Warnings, then exported package will contain Reports.xml file with warning message.
Importing exported data
If export package is to be imported in HDC database then first it needs to be uploaded. Proper package type have to be chosen.
If package was exported to HDC Internal output format then the package should be registered as Internal type.
