Point Cloud Viewer

Point Cloud Viewer

Overview

The point cloud viewer functionality is integrated with Navvis Ivion viewer, requiring an additional account at the Navvis Ivion system to use this feature.

This integration functions for objects with world coordinates in the database. It looks up the coordinates of each object in the Navvis system to locate the site and nearest scan position.

For more information on importing spatial data and using the point cloud viewer, please visit: Working with spatial data (geo location)

Import of Object Location Data

Objects have the ability to store optional location coordinates, which can be provided during import and utilized in various scenarios such as map display, proximity search, or point cloud navigation.

The system offers a translation mechanism that enables the provision of coordinates in any valid spatial reference system. Subsequently, the data can be retrieved in the same or an alternative reference system.

Coordinates can be mapped in an external domain configuration. The import profile contains information about the SRID to be used for reading and interpreting location information. For additional details, please refer to Working with Spatial Data (Geo Location).
